Nestled in the lovely Tennessee Valley in downtown Rogersville, Alabama, the congregation of First Baptist Church is working hard to share God's love. Founded on the principle of Salvation through God's only begotten son, Jesus Christ, and the blood he shed for each of us on Calvary's cross, we are taking the gospel to the highways and the hedges.

Armed with the same message passed down from Jesus himself, we are implementing new methods to meet the ever-changing needs of our  community. Due mainly to the recreational qualities of the Tennessee River, what was once a small farming community has grown into a diverse community that includes many retired couples and commuter families. As the needs of our community change, we will change our methods to meet those needs. But one thing that will never change is the message of Jesus Christ and his love for each of us.

Our mission is to love the Lord our God with all our heart and to demonstrate that love to our community by uniting in leading people into a life-changing experience with Jesus Christ which results in Eternal Life, Membership, Maturity, Ministry, and Missions.
